Nic Lange
Fashion Director
Spanish Speaking

Nic Lange is a native New Yorker with over a decade of work behind the chair. While participating in New York, Philadelphia, and Tallinn fashion weeks, Nic worked alongside a range of fashion photographers including Anthony Nocella, one of the senior photographers for Free People, Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie.

Education is a key factor of Nic’s success. He first began his education at the Jean Madeline Aveda Institute. Then, in 2010, he set out to have a better understanding of color, seeking to know more about the color process and how it affects one’s hair. He became a member of the American Board of Certified Hair Colorists, a prestigious honor that, at the time, had been bestowed on fewer than 1,500 stylists in North America.

Nic loves and follows the KEVIN.MURPHY philosophy, and he is passionate about the brand. In 2013, he became part of the KEVIN.MURPHY team, and in 2015, he relocated to Southern California. Nic, in his inspiring platform work for KEVIN.MURPHY, has led numerous shows and events throughout the USA and Canada where he has connected and motivated thousands of hairstylists. Nic’s career has constantly evolved with his passion for learning, and he now leads KEVIN.MURPHY Training and Development for North America. With Nic’s passion and commitment for the industry, it has inspired him to open and develop a salon with its DNA based on this philosophy and Nic’s vast years of experience.

Gary Lange
Strategic Director

With a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town South Africa, as well as a MBA from Rider University in New Jersey, Gary has worked in Corporate America for the past 20 years. He has always had a passion for business and most recently ran one of the divisions of a $3.5B publicly traded aerospace company located in Orange County, CA.  His success is attributed to an emphasis on value growth, productivity and new business generation, while inspiring cross functional teams that ensure the highest levels of customer service while meeting company objectives.

Gary has a vision to turn the traditional salon business model upside down to create a team based environment where stylists, staff and clients are treated with the same level of respect and rewarded for the work they do. Gary’s belief is that in order for a salon to be the best place to go to, it should first be the best place to work. His philosophy is simple – You can’t deliver good service from an unhappy or unmotivated team, so you should treat your team the way you want your guests to be treated. Guests will never love a company until the team loves it first, and if you get the culture right, then providing great customer service, building a long-term brand and empowering a passionate team will happen naturally.

There is a lot of accomplishment that comes in knowing that your client completely trusts you and looks forward to their time in your station.

Charmaine Chu
Design Coordinator
Tagalog Speaking

Charmaine has an extensive background in the beauty industry as brand ambassador for various cosmetic brands. While in her capacity as brand ambassador, Charmaine managed to balance her time to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. It was not long after graduation that she accepted a marketing position in pursuit of her long-time dream of working for corporate America. After several years with the Company, she constantly missed the beauty industry and the creativity that comes with it. Finally, she decided to take the leap of faith and pivoted away from her corporate job to pursue her true passion. This time she wants to make a difference in how people feel through hair and makeup with her own touch of creativity. She currently fulfills this passion as a student at Toni & Guy, and now as a Design Coordinator for House of Lange.
