Stay Hydrated

Hydration, it’s good for the skin and for the hair! We’ve heard a lot going around that people are nervous or scared to utilize hair oil or moisturizing products in their hair. While yes, some products may feel a bit heavy in some hair types, there are options for everyone! Hydration is such an important part of keeping your hair healthy and sleek! Don’t let the fear of hydrating keep you from your hair goals.

Here’s a couple of tips on how to use your hair oil:

Organic Way Glossy Nectar

Oribe Gold lust nourishing hair oil

Utilize your hair oil on damp, towel dried hair, out of the shower. Ensure that you start small, you can always add more but you can’t take the excess out. Work it into your hands before putting it into your hair, then, using your fingers, comb it through. You can give the ends a gentle twist, ensuring that you covered everything, then brush it through. Avoid the roots of the hair, focusing on the mid-shaft and ends.

Find the right hair oil for you! We have 3 different options in our salon, from all of our amazing brands. If you’re looking for a light weight oil to rejuvenate and refresh those mids and ends, we’d recommend YOUNG.AGAIN, by KEVIN.MURPHY. If you need something that packs a punch, hydrates while also giving you heat protection, we’d recommend Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil by Oribe. If you are looking for something all natural, organic and so light weight you will never notice it, we’d recommend Glossy Nectar from Organic Way (A.K.A Oway).

Whether you have a bob or hair down to your knees, everyone could benefit from a hair oil. We live in Southern California and for the most part, the sun never gives up. With the changes in weather and the fluctuation from dry to humid, we feel it in our skin and thus, feel it in our hair. The one thing to always remember, your hair should be treated like you treat your skin, it’s just as fragile and needs proper care.
